The drive from the airport is one of immaculate scenery, smell and sound. Ylang-ylang, cocoa, vanilla and pepper lingers in the air. The song of birds, cicadas and on some occasions you’ll hear families of lemurs off in the distance. You’re surrounded by the view of the valley, the ocean and all shades of forest green.
This drive is fleeting yet memorable.
And then.. you’re met by civilization, the true “city life” of Nosy Be. Goats, chickens and Zebu (Humped Ox) roam the streets without a care in the world. Tuk-Tuks (or Bajajis as the locals call them) flying by in all directions and cafes, boutiques and side-stalls as far as the eye can see.

From the highest point of Nosy Be, Montpassot, you have a 360 view of all of Nosy Be
Locals reckon that the lakes are all croc infested. So just in case, don’t go swimming in said lakes. Unless of course your a thrill seeker
